Handbag and Card

Hello everyone! I am sharing another project with you that I have designed for The Shabby Tea Room.

The theme for week #149 is  ‘Antique Roses’ . You are asked to create a card/project inspired by colors from pic, and to include a rose/flower and fabric/ribbon.

I love the look of this bag and wanted to make one as well. I used a free handbag template which you can download here

After I printed the template onto cardstock,  I placed it onto my Scorpal. Using a stylus I began creating an embossed grid pattern. My grid measures one inch. After I completed all of the scor lines, I inked up an ink blending tool with distress ink and went over the entire project to highlight all of the grid lines.

While the project was still flat, I began to embellish. I used some lace, flowers, seam binding and cheese cloth. I then assembled the bag, added an embossed handle and attached it to the project using eyelets.

I repeated the grid pattern for the card and repeated the inking process that I used on the handbag. I repeated some of the same embellishments as well. I stamped a sentiment, framed it and used foam tape between each layer.

Supplies:

Paper: Stampin' Up! whisper white, Kaisercraft musk

Ink: Distress ink old paper, Versafine vintage sepia, Momento angel pink

Stamp: JustRite stampers Botannical Medallions and Banners

Other: Spellbinders foliage and classic ovals small, Die-namics fancy flourish, JR nested oval medallion labels, Spellbinders m-bossabilities garden lattice, Martha Stewart doily lace punch, ScorPal, Prima flower, lace, seam binding and cheese cloth.

I hope that you'll give this a try!
