Everyday Card ~ Kaisercraft

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a card that I made which was just for fun. Lately, I have been working with a lot of purple papers, so I decided to pull out aan older Kasiercraft paper collection from my stash to create with. I have friends who love purple, and decided that it would be handy to have an everyday card on hand for them.
To create my card, I pulled out the coordinating flowers and collectables to create my design.
The doily is a Kaisercraft die. The white flowers are Kaisercraft blooms. I pulled out the centres and added some Kaisercraft sparklets. I love how they turned out and it really makes the most of what you have!

It's really great to create with treasures from your stash....I have paper to the wazoos! (is that a word...LOL) and I know that it has a purpose and I always use it somehow.

Supplies:

Kaisercraft Products:  Violet Crush paperpad and collectables, Paper blooms coconut and grape, mini paper blooms coconut and amethyst, Sparklets crystal, Decorative dies doily.

Other: white lace

Dream Layout

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a layout with you that features papers from the brand new collection from Meg's Garden named Lavende. It's vintage and beautiful.

To frame my photos, I used beautiful flowers from Meg's Garden along with some chippies from my stash. I altered all of the chipboard pieces by stamping them with Versamark ink and heat setting them with white embossing powder.

I love this little bird cage with the birds! I used white gesso as a base coat before I coloured the pieces in with Prima oil pastels. To add a vintage touch, I stamped a script stamp over my bird cage and title.

Supplies from Meg's Garden
Paper: Megs Garden Lavande
Lace, flowers, pearls

Other:

Scrapmatts Page Border 07, Bird Cages 01, Assorted Words, 2 Crafty chipboard frame, Hero Arts White embossing powder, Prima Oil Pastel, Bobunny Midnight Frost, Distress Ink Vintage Photo

2017/18 Kaisercraft Design Team Application

Hello everyone! Today I am thrilled to be sharing two projects with you as part of my Design Team Application for round two with Kaisercraft. I have been blessed to have already been part of the Kaisercraft Design Team before, and feel absolutely blessed to be a part of the selection process again. I received a box of goodies which contained a brand new paper collection called Lilac Whisper as well as some flowers and other beautiful products.

When I first had a look at the papers I thought of spring, which then symbolises new life which then leads to flowers and then of course babies. Baby girl? Baby boy? Combine the two - pink + blue = purple! I decided that I would make a card and an exploding box.

To create my card, I used a number of elements from the collectables that accompany the collection. The soft images compliment the papers so beautifully. Below, I have video tutorial which shows how I created my card and also a technique for adapting the paper blooms to create a shabby chic look.

For my second project, I have created an exploding box.
Create a base using whitecardstock. Each square section is 10cm x 10cm.
Cut 5x 9.5cm squares using Hydrangea papers.
Cut 5 x 9.5cm papers using Illusion and Echo papers.
Die cut some doilies using white cards stock and two circles using Illusion and Echo papers. By repeating the use of the papers, it adds a cohesive feel to your design.
Decorate using left over papers that have been used as well as items from the collectables. Have a balance of light and dark on each square. I used the front and back of each paper on each square quite frequently as they coordinate so beautifully together. I also used left over papers from my card, so that both projects complimented each other.

In my design, I placed die cut items on opposite sides and items from the collectables on the other opposite sides to attain balance. In the centre, the baby shoes were created from a printable template using Opal Paper.
